TPO appointed for National Welsh Review

The People Organisation has been appointed to review progress on changes to older people’s services in Wales.

The Trusted to Care Report, published last year, recommended a series of actions to improve hospital provision for older frail people, following an independent assessment of two hospitals where concerns had been raised about standards and provision.  The Report was commissioned by the Minister of Health for Wales and undertaken jointly by The People Organisation and the Dementia Services Development Centre based at the University of Stirling.

The Welsh Government has now commissioned a review of progress which TPO and DSDC will again be undertaking jointly with a Report due to be presented to the Minister in the late summer

“I am delighted to be working again with Professor June Andrews on what we hope will be an ongoing process of improvement across Wales, not just in services in the local Board area,” says Mark Butler, Director of The People Organisation
